Doctor Biographies

Dr. Cullen Dauchy has
been practicing at Katy Veterinary Clinic since
1971, when he graduated from Texas A&M University’s
College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1978 Dr. Dauchy
assumed ownership of the clinic. He is a member
of the American Veterinary Medical Association,
the American Animal Hospital Association, the Texas
Veterinary Medical Association, and the Harris County
Veterinary Medical Association. Although he devotes
much time to patient care and to practice management,
Dr. Dauchy supports many youth activities in the
Katy area. Dr. Dauchy has been a Partner in Education
with Katy Elementary School since 1988. He served
three years as president of the Katy High School
Athletic Booster Club and has won its Outstanding
Service Award. He has also sponsored local youth
sports teams and he is an honorary member of both
the Katy High School FFA and the Taylor High School
FFA. Dr. Dauchy and his wife, Alice Ann, are very
active in their church. The Dauchy family includes
three daughters and three grandchildren. |

Dr. Lori Smith is a
1995 graduate of the Texas A&M University College
of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she worked
at Katy Veterinary Clinic from 1995-1999 when a
move took her out of the area. She returned in 2002
and has since been reassociated with the practice.
She began working at Katy Veterinary Clinic as a
high school student in 1986. Dr. Smith is a member
of the American Veterinary Medical Association,
the American Animal Hospital Association, and the
Texas Veterinary Medical Association. She is committed
to providing specialized, professional healthcare
that promotes each pet's health and happiness. When
Dr. Smith is not at work, she enjoys family time
with husband, Ben, and their three children. Dr.
Smith also volunteers at her children's schools
and her church. |

Dr. Kari Cleavinger
associated with Katy Veterinary Clinic in 2003 after
graduating from the Texas A&M University College
of Veterinary Medicine. "As a life-long Katy resident,
there is no other place in the world where I would
rather practice veterinary medicine. The city of
Katy has been so good to me and my family, and giving
something back to the community is extremely important.
By providing high quality veterinary care, I feel
the community and their pets will benefit greatly."
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical
Association, the American Animal Hospital Association,
the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the
Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr.
Cleavinger enjoys spending quality time with her
family which includes her husband, Mike, and their
two children. |

Dr. Elissa Micek associated with Katy Veterinary Clinic in 2005. She has an undergraduate degree from Notre Dame University, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. Additionally, she holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M, which gives her added insight into practice management. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network. Dr. Micek is devoted to providing the best possible animal health care for your pet. Committment to continuing education forms a cornerstone of Dr. Micek's ongoing professional development. In her spare time, Elissa enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending quality time with her husband, Clay, and their two daughters. |
