11 Tips For A Happier Cat!

Your cat is a part of your family, and you want to make your cat happier. Cats can be happier if their owners know how to make them happier.

This article will show you 11 tips for making your kitty happier!

  1. Always have fresh water available for your pet. Make sure the bowl stays clean! If you have more than one cat, make sure they all have their own bowl.

  2. Be a good owner and play with your cat every day! If you can't play for long periods of time during the day, then at least play with your kitty before bedtime.

  3. Give your cat places to hide if they don't like to be around a lot of people. If you have a busy house with a lot of visitors, give your cat a quiet place to hide out.

  4. Make sure your cat is eating healthy food and treats!  If you're going to treat your furry friend, make sure it's something good, not just table scraps.  Cats need protein so make sure to feed them healthy meat.

  5. Control your cat's diet!  It is recommended that only 1/8 of the daily food intake should be treats.  If you give your kitty too much sugar it can lead to obesity, putting stress on their heart and kidneys.

  6. Give your cat a safe and secure place to sleep. Cats need a warm and dark place to sleep and make sure to keep it clean.

  7. Do not ever hit or hurt your cat! You could seriously injure them and they will never trust you.  If you want to discipline your cat, just say "No!" firmly and don't make eye contact.

  8. Don't keep your cat in a small space for long periods of time.  If you have a small apartment with no yard or room to run, then put your kitty out on a harness and leash when you're home.  Never let your cat out of a secure area without a leash on, as they could get lost or hurt.

  9. Do not leave your cat outside unattended for long periods of time.  Cats need companionship and they get lonely when you leave them out all day.

  10. Make sure to keep your cat's nails trimmed.   If their nails get too long, they can break and bleed profusely, or you could even injure them with a nail that is sharp enough to cut through skin!

  11. If your cat starts acting differently than normal, take them to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Cats can hide their illnesses very well, and it's important to take care of your furry friend!

Cats are super fun to have around the house, just make sure your cat enjoys being there too!
